Helen Barclay-Hollands

Manager, Fragile and Humanitarian Programs Team, World Vision Canada

Helen is currently Manager for the Fragile & Humanitarian Programs Team for World Vision Canada, based remotely in Quebec. She leads program development and management for World Vision Canada’s work across fragile contexts and emergencies across the world.

Previously, Helen has supported the World Vision International team with the development of the Fragile Context strategy as well as capturing learning on adaptations made as part of our COVID-19 global response.

Prior to that Helen was based in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.

She holds a Masters in International Development (Forced Migration) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London, UK.

Background:

World Vision Syria Response has been operating inside Syria, Jordan and Turkey since 2011. We provide lifesaving protection, education, WASH and health services to refugees and local communities, impacted by the ongoing conflict. The response team comprises 187 staff and volunteers working with 21 local partners in Turkey, Syria and Jordan.

World Vision Canada is currently supporting over 446,000 people in Idlib governorate, North-West Syria with heath, water & sanitation, protection and nutrition programming in northwest Syria via Global Affairs Canada funding.
