Gift of Endowment Fund

Endowments offer the opportunity to ensure that your gift continues to give year after year. The capital of an endowment is invested in perpetuity, or a long-term 10-year fund and the income earned from the fund is used as you designated.

Endowment funds are significant as they provide World Vision Canada with long-term viability to ensure that future generations have access to emergency relief, child protection, community development, economic development, health care, food, clean water and sanitation.

You can create an endowment fund by donating substantial gifts of cash and assets and name it after yourself or a loved one. You may direct your endowment fund toward programs that are important to you or allow us to use the funds where most needed.

Gift of Life insurance

Gift of Retirement funds

Retirement funds are likely among the most heavily taxed assets you own. Naming World Vision Canada as a beneficiary can be an effective way of creating a tax-smart estate plan.

By doing so you:

  • retain ownership of the funds
  • receive a tax receipt for the full amount donated
  • avoid probate fees
  • reduce your estate taxes

World Vision programs help communities in some of the world’s most vulnerable places. We provide safe water, emergency relief, agricultural assistance, education and more. Donating to World Vision Canada lets you leave a tremendous mark on the lives of many.
