During Emira’s trip to Ecuador, she visited a school in Santa Ana. She met with students, teachers and parents to hear about their experiences in collaborating with World Vision. Many of the projects were related to education, health and nutrition, child protection and entrepreneurship.

Nayeli, one of the students who took part in the “School Backpack” project, shared the joy of her experience:

“I am ten years old and I am currently in the 5th grade. I like the books that World Vison gave to us very much,” she says.

“We received the backpacks and the books at the beginning of the school year,” she continues. “The stories that I like most from them are My Guardian Angel and Virgin Mary. I can read and re-read all day these books and I am never tired. I even share the stories with my little brother at home. Both my brother and I learn and play at the same time. We could not do this before.”
